Charlie Chair

A structure composed of three typically planar materials, manipulated into curved and organic shapes. Each material incorporated changes with time and use, allowing the user to shape the chair themselves.

Seat made by laminating cherry and oak veneers, formed by a custom buck shaped out of foam. Frame was bent and welded out of rectangular steel bar. Back is grommeted and laced leather. May 2013.
